Award for Excellence in Short-Term Study Abroad Programming

Each year, the Study Abroad Advisory Council recognizes University of Missouri faculty and staff members who demonstrate excellence in developing and leading short-term study abroad programs.  Short-term study abroad programs are defined as credit-offering programs that are eight weeks or less.

Selection of the recipient is based on demonstration of the Standards of Good Practice for Short-Term Education Abroad Programs developed by the Forum on Education Abroad, in the provision of study abroad courses.  The Forum on Education Abroadexternal link serves as the standards setting organization for the field of education abroad.

The distinction and recognition in receiving this award conveys to faculty, staff members and the University community as a whole the value of providing excellence in short-term study abroad programming.

Additional details are available in the most recent call for nominations.
