Study Abroad
Jeanne Beck has a master's degree in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL) and undergraduate degrees in international studies and middle school English/social studies education, all from the University of Missouri. Prior to joining the International Center in 2011, she taught English in Iida City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan for three years on the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. As an undergraduate, she studied abroad in Gwangju, South Korea and Iida, Japan, and volunteered at MU's Asian Affairs Center as a collegiate ambassador and conversation partner. She is also a lifetime member and Gold Award recipient of Girl Scouts and enjoys fostering international understanding among children of all ages.
