William Palmieri holds a bachelor's degree in international studies and African studies from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. He is also currently completing a master's degree in international education with a concentration in international student advising from SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vt. In addition to spending a semester researching ecological tourism on the west coast of Mexico, William has also researched industrialization and community at BARD University in Bangladesh and the politics of the cocoa industry at the University of Ghana. While working for World Learning, he led trips to Tanzania and Ghana and has also worked as a climbing guide. William taught history and African studies at a high school in New York and is proficient in Spanish (intermediate level).
