Grace Yan has a doctorate degree in parks, recreation and tourism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from Purdue University. She has an excellent academic and research background using quantitative tools and analysis and has published extensively within her field. Her personal experience as an international student in the U.S. has given her a very strong sense of empathy and concern regarding the challenges that international students face, particularly regarding immigration regulations.
