F-1 students do not need the International Center's permission to accept employment on-campus.
J-1 students need a letter authorizing them for on-campus employment, and employment must be updated in SEVIS. You can work up to 20 hours per week on campus during the fall and winter semesters.
You can work more than 20 hours per week on campus during the summer semester and other designated breaks (winter and spring vacations).
