Financial aid resources for international students are somewhat limited and highly competitive. Opportunities available to international students include:
- The Curator's Grant-in-Aid program is available to for currently enrolled international graduate and undergraduate students once they have attended MU for two full semesters. These are one-time awards that typically offer a $2,000-4,000 fee waiver for one semester.
- The Global Heritage Scholarship offers a renewable, 100% nonresident tuition waiver (equal to approximately $7,500 per year) to eligible undergraduate international students. In addition to having a parent who graduated from MU, applicants must have a combined SAT I score of 1200 or higher or a composite ACT score of 27 or higher to be eligible for the award.
- The Alumni Association's Global Tiger Scholarship is available to returning international students. These awards are for $1,000 and are generally non-renewable.
- Graduate assistantships, including both teaching and research assistantships, are part-time employment opportunities for graduate students applied for through academic departments or research centers. Assistantships are typically 10-20 hours per week and offer a monthly stipend as well as a tuition waiver.
