Event planning and promotion

The International Center is pleased to help support and promote international events at MU in a variety of ways:

General publicity

We can provide the following publicity for MU events (organized, sponsored or cosponsored by an MU department or organization) that have an international focus:

• Online event calendars - We can post your event to the MU Calendar of Events, which also populates the events calendar that appears on the International Center's website.
• Plasma screen ads - We can post event details or flyers directly to the plasma screen television located in Hawthorne Lounge in Memorial Union. the lobby space just outside the International Center and Asian Affairs Center offices.  For best results, images should be 1920 x 1080 pixels (be sure to check the image at 100% magnification to make sure it is clear and readable).
• Additional resources - We can offer advice on additional opportunities for promoting your event.

To request assistance, please submit your event details and images to umcintctrevents@missouri.edu as early as possible.

Event planning

We welcome opportunities to collaborate with other departments and organizations in coordinating/co-sponsoring campus events that address international issues. If you have an idea for an event or potential guest speaker, please contact Kerri Urban.
