Kaleidoscope participants

Kaleidoscope is a community outreach program that arranges for University of Missouri international students and scholars to make presentations at area elementary schools. It was launched in 2004 during MU's International Education Week celebration, with presentations being made to over 500 elementary students. Since that time, it has expanded to serve schools in Columbia as well as surrounding communities, throughout the school year.

Not only do the elementary students benefit from interacting with visitors from diverse backgrounds and cultures, the presenters themselves gain valuable experience from communicating with American schoolchildren.

Presenters are available from a wide variety of countries, drawing from MU's diverse community of international students and visiting scholars.

If you are interested in participating in the Kaleidoscope program please contact the International Center at 573-882-6007. You can also contact Dottie Heibel at 573-884-7680 or by e-mail at heibeld@missouri.edu.

Please notify us 4-6 weeks in advance to allow proper preparation time.
