Holidays & Vacation

MU holidays and vacations are posted on the MU Calendar.

You may stay legally in the U.S. during holidays and vacation periods observed by MU, including summer vacations, provided that:

1. You are eligible and intend to register for the next school term (or the term immediately following a summer vacation).
2. The "completion of studies" date on your I-20 or DS-2019 is after the date you resume your studies (i.e., your document will not expire during the break).

If you are planning to travel outside the United States during a break, refer to the section on travel.

If you are planning to work during a break, please know that you are allowed to work full-time on campus during the following official school breaks: Thanksgiving break, Winter break, Spring break, Summer break. Refer to the MU Calendar for the official starting and ending dates of the breaks. Also, ISSS recommends that you talk to your employer before working additional hours during any break.
