For emergencies of any kind, dial 911 on your telephone and tell the operator the kind of emergency you have. Don't hang up until told to do so. This number will get you the fire department, police or an ambulance.

- Minor medical emergencies are also treated at the Walk-in Medical Clinic, 2716 Paris Road (573-474-4626), 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday; or Mediquick, 1101 N. Providence Road (573-874-0008)
- Ambulance Services - If an emergency arises that requires an ambulance or a rescue team in Columbia, call 911 and explain the problem. DO NOT HANG UP THE PHONE UNTIL INSTRUCTED TO DO SO. The operator will want to get the nature of the problem, the location of the patient and other information.
