2008/2009 BUTEX scholarships
BUTEX scholarships are open to all undergraduate students currently registered at an institution in the USA or Canada. To be eligible to apply you must have been offered a place as a study abroad or exchange student in a UK university which is a member of BUTEX (British Transatlantic Exchange Association). The value of each scholarship is US$1,000 and will be paid to the winners once they have arrived and registered at their host university. |

Pasteur Foundation Post Doctoral Fellowship Program Fall Deadline
In collaboration with the Institute Pasteur, the Pasteur Foundation runs a program to bring U.S. postdoctoral to work in Institute Pasteur laboratories in Paris thanks to the generosity of U.S. donors. Guided by the institute's administration which seeks to develop international scientific exchanges to ensure the vitality and quality of Institut Pasteur labs, this program is for American citizens and does not apply to candidates already in France. The fellowships are $70,000 ($55,000 fellowship plus $15,000bench fees to support the research) per year for a term of three years and are not renewable. Financing for the second and third years is contingent upon positive annual review by the host lab head. |

NSF International Research Experiences for Students (IRES)
The United States needs to educate a globally-engaged science and engineering workforce capable of performing in an international research environment in order to remain at the forefront of world science and technology. To support this aim, the Developing Global Scientists and Engineers program provides highest quality international research experiences for U.S. students. The International Research Experiences for Students component of the program supports groups of U.S. undergraduate or graduate students conducting research abroad in collaboration with foreign investigators. |
