This collection of recipes from MU students, staff, faculty and members of the Columbia community includes dishes that range from Spanish paella to Indonesian gado-gado. Cookbooks may be purchased in the MU International Center (N52 Memorial Union) for $8. Proceeds will be used to fund future International Education Week programs at MU.

Call for Nominations: 2005 Global Scholars Program. The Council on International Initiatives is pleased to announce the seventh year of funding for the Global Scholars Program (GSP), a faculty curriculum development project that focuses on internationalizing MU's curriculum. Thanks to support from the Provost's Office, the program will continue in 2005 with a summer seminar to Spain, as well as individual GSP grants. Details of the seminar in Spain will be released through the deans' offices and posted on the International Center website in mid December. It is important to note that deans are authorized to select the participants based on curriculum considerations in their respective colleges and schools. The Provost requests that funding not be awarded to persons who have received GSP funding in previous years. The deadline for colleges/schools to submit both summer seminar and individual grant nominations to the International Center is February 2, 2005. Interested faculty should inquire with their Dean's office for college/school-specific nomination deadlines, procedures and criteria. All participants in summer seminars and individual projects are expected to participate in follow-up workshops to share good practices in internationalizing undergraduate courses.
