Develop a program

Now that you have completed the initial planning for your study abroad program, it is time to begin developing your program in detail. This section will discuss the preparation needed to establish the program.

The next steps include:

• Obtaining program approval from your department and the MU International Center (IC).
• Confirming overseas arrangements through the creation of international agreements.
• Evalating and minimizing potential risks associated with administering a study abroad program.
• Reviewing health, safety and liability concerns.
• Making an evaluative site visit to the program location.

Keep in mind that the IC Study Abroad Staff are able to meet with you to assist you during any step in the process.
