Pre-departure orientation

The International Center provides an online general pre-departure orientation for study abroad each semester. ALL students studying abroad are required to watch and complete the online orientation, regardless of their program type. Students are encouraged to invite their parents to watch the orientation modules as well.

Topics covered include:

  • Health, safety and security.
  • Cross-cultural adjustment.
  • Administrative paperwork.
  • Financial aid.
  • Registration.
  • Travel tips.

Please note that students participating on programs admistered by the School of Journalism, College of Business or College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources will have a separate orientation session.
