Welcome back!
Sometimes when students return from abroad, they wonder how to incorporate everything they’ve learned into their lives at home.
Many students say that while it’s great to be reunited with loved ones and hang out in familiar, comfortable spots, they feel a bit off-center or out of place. Friends and family have difficulty relating to students' experiences abroad, and it can be challenging to readjust to American classrooms. These feelings are normal. Reentering the home culture can be just as difficult as adjusting to the host culture.
The MU International Center can help returning students readapt to life in the United States and at MU, making the transition as smooth as possible. Need help? Don't hesitate to contact the International Center.
