Program Evaluation

Welcome Back! Now that you have returned from your study abroad experience, filled with new insights and a better understanding of the world, we would like you to take a few minutes and give us some feedback about your program. We have three goals in asking you to complete this questionnaire:

1. Give future participants an opportunity to get a "student's perspective" from study abroad alumni about programs in which they are interested.
2. Give you, the returnee, a chance to think about and process your experience, as well as to share your learning and insights with others.
3. Provide feedback to MU Study Abroad Team, Academic Advisors and Deans so that we can continue to improve our services and procedures.

There are four main sections to this evaluation. Parts I, II, and III will be made available in the International Center Resource Room for use by other students interested in study abroad. Part IV will be kept for internal evaluation purposes.

• Part I. You will be asked to provide some personal information (although you do not have to give your name). This will help to lend some context to your comments and allow students with similar backgrounds to focus on your remarks. You will be asked to rate the academic quality of the program and services provided abroad on a scale from "exceptional" to "poor".
• Part II. Is for our own evaluative purposes and will be used to help MU Study Abroad Team, Academic Advisors and Deans to continue to improve our services and procedures.
• Part III. You will be asked a series of open-ended questions. This section will be of greatest value to future students because it is here that you can give detailed information, advice, etc., based upon your own experience abroad. Please take the time to be as thorough and complete as possible, and feel free to add additional pages to this questionnaire as needed.
• Part IV. You will be asked to rate each of the classes you took abroad, and the professors who taught them. If you need space to list additional classes, please use the Part IV supplement.

In order to successfully complete each section you must click on the "submit" button for each section. You will then be prompted to continue to the next section.

Please note that each section requires that you enter your student #. This will allow us to make sure that all evaluations come from actual study abroad alumni and also to track which students have completed the evaluation. We are committed to maintaining your privacy and will not publish any identifying information when we make the evaluations available in the resource room. If you have any concerns, you are always welcome to complete a hard copy of the evaluation.
