If you are planning to participate on an MU Partner study abroad program, you must apply to both the program sponsor following its application guidelines, and complete the three items listed below and submit them to the Study Abroad Advisor in the MU International Center who handles applications for the country in which you are planning to study. These forms are due to the MU Study Abroad Advisor on or before:
- OCTOBER 1, 2007 for Spring 2008 programs
- FEBRUARY 25, 2008 for Summer 2008, Fall 2008, and all 2008-2009 full year programs
- Study Abroad Participant Information Sheet. Please type all requested information. Be sure to sign and date the form.
- Download and fill in preliminary course choices on the Course Proposal for Study Abroad. Meet with International Admissions (230 Jesse Hall) and your Academic Advisor to have them review your selections. International Admissions and Academic Advisors will work together to guide you as to how the courses you plan to take overseas will transfer toward your MU degree. Finally, meet with the appropriate Advisor in your School or College's Dean's Office to obtain approval to study abroad. Advisors in each of these offices will need to sign your "Course Proposal for Study Abroad" (e.g., International Admissions, your Academic Advisor, and your Deans Office). Begin this process at least two weeks prior to the application deadline. Submit the signed form to your MU Study Abroad Advisor.
- Scholarship Application Form (optional). By completing this application you will be considered for scholarships available through the International Center. Please note that this form is for International Center funds only. If you wish to apply for Federal financial aid, or other scholarships specific to study abroad, you will need to complete additional forms and/or applications with Susie Facklam or Roberta Knipp, Senior Financial Aid Advisors in the MU Financial Aid Office (11 Jesse Hall).
