MU Institutional Scholarships

You may use the following MU-based scholarships to study abroad through MU and MU Partner programs only (these may not be applied to Non-MU programs).

  • Curators Scholarship
  • Bright-Flight
  • MU Grant
  • Other MU scholarships

MU Departmental Scholarships

The following Departments/Colleges offer study abroad scholarships specifically for their students:

  • College of Business
  • CAFNR: College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources
  • School of Journalism
  • Biological Sciences

For more information about the above scholarships, contact the relevant department or college directly.

MU International Center Scholarships

The MU International Center administers and awards several scholarships for study abroad during the semester, academic year, or summer. You may apply for any of the following by submitting the Scholarship Application materials, included in the MU, MU Partner, and Non-MU study abroad applications, to the International Center by the appropriate deadline.

  • MU General Study Abroad Scholarship ($250-1000)
  • MU in China ($500)
  • MU in Ghana ($500)
  • MU in Japan ($1000)
  • MU in Russia ($500)
  • MU in South Africa- Henry Mitchell Scholarship ($1250)
  • Missouri London- Geoffrey Hayday Memorial ($500-1000)
  • American Intercontinental University ($500: $1,500 awarded by the IC in total)
  • Arcadia University ($500-1000: $4,500 awarded by the IC in total. Ireland preferred)
  • Butler Programs ($500- $1000: $5,000 awarded by the IC in total)
  • DIS- Denmark (see MU Study Abroad Advisor)

MU Partner Program Scholarships

In addition to those listed above, which are scholarships specifically designated for MU students, the following MU Partner Programs offer their own scholarships for participants on their programs. You should apply for these directly to the program sponsor.
