Xiaoyu Guo, Ph.D., is director of international analytics. A native of China, Dr. Guo received a master's degree and Ph.D. in industrial engineering from the University of Missouri. Prior to his current position, he served as the strategic analyst at MU International Center.

Throughout his studies at MU, Dr. Guo worked as a research assistant and a teaching assistant at the MU department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering. He served as co-founder and chair of the MU Chinese Student and Scholar Association for six years and provided key leadership to MU International Programs and the China Consulate of Chicago.

Dr. Guo was honored with MU's International Engagement Award for Outstanding Student Contribution, the Missouri Honor for Outstanding Doctoral Student by the MU College of Engineering, and the Outstanding Alumni Contribution Award by Mizzou Alumni Association.

At the International Center, Dr. Guo focuses on analyzing and optimizing the MU organizational systems as they engage the international community, developing and maintaining decision-support methods and procedures for strategic planning, scheduling, routing, handling and managing events and services. He conducts international student and scholar services process improvement and quality control studies, and he provides liaison assistance with key stakeholders on and off campus in support of MU's international development.
