Study abroad
Brendan has a master's degree in higher education leadership from Appalachian State University, and a bachelor's degree in French language and culture from Christopher Newport University. His first international experiences began growing up in a military family, moving several times and traveling around Western Europe. For his French degree, he spent a summer in Paris studying art and cross-cultural communication. Other international experiences include working with the global missions department of a campus ministry organization, and later with the Office of International Education at Appalachian State University. During his master's program, he spent time in Great Britain studying postsecondary student support services. Brendan is proficient in French, and loves learning about other cultures through languages, sports (mostly football/soccer), music and art. He is currently taking recommendations for where to find a good croissant in Columbia.
