Head of curriculum and program development
Amanda Carr has been on staff at the Asian Affairs Center since 2012, working as an instructor, program coordinator and curriculum developer. Her love for international education and cultural studies began in university with her own study abroad experiences in Australia, France and Japan. After college, Amanda spent three years working in Japan as an English instructor and curriculum developer for Nagano Prefecture. At the Asian Affairs Center, Amanda enjoys managing university partnerships with Japan and is also involved with sister relationships at the city and state levels.
Amanda has a master’s degree in rural sociology from the University of Missouri.
