You must check in at the International Center within 30 days of your program start date. Check-in sessions for spring 2020 will be offered Jan. 8–31 — follow the instructions below to see the full schedule in MU Connect.

What to expect

Check-in sessions will begin promptly at their designated start times and last approximately one and a half hours. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early for your scheduled session. You will need to bring the following documents to your check-in session:

  • Passport
  • Visa
  • I-20 or DS-2019
  • University of Missouri admission letter

At the session, you will need to complete a check-in form. On that form, you will be asked to provide the name, email address and phone number of someone whom we may notify in case of emergency. You will also need to provide the address of where you are staying/living in the U.S.

Transfer students: It may take several days after you check in to receive your new I-20.

How to sign up for a check-in session

  1. Log in to MU Connect. You will need your MU PawPrint (username) — it should be listed in your admission letter. If you have yet to create a university password, you may do so by accessing myZou. You will need the "temporary" password that was mailed to you when you applied to the university.
  2. Find the International Center service.
    • Go to "My Success Network" — the International Center should be listed in your success network.
    • If not listed, type "check-in" or "international" in the search bar.
