Volunteer for International Student Welcome

Each semester, hundreds of new international students arrive at MU. They participate in International Student Welcome the week before classes begin — a time of introducing new international students to life at MU and in Columbia.

Volunteers are needed to help run all of the events during International Student Welcome. They help serve meals, lead small group sessions and assist with the shopping trip. Volunteers are also needed during the couple of weeks prior to International Student Welcome to provide a friendly welcome and assist new international students arriving at Columbia Regional Airport.

Everyone is welcome to help out — U.S. and international students, MU faculty and staff, and community members. Just bring yourself and a friendly attitude. If you are interested in volunteering for next semester's International Student Welcome, please complete and submit a volunteer application. If you have volunteered for a past orientation/welcome, you may also consider applying to be a volunteer coordinator.
