Director of international student and scholar services
David has worked in the field of international education for more than 25 years. He holds a master's degree in education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a bachelor's degree in aerospace administration from Middle Tennessee State University.
David has held several leadership positions in NAFSA: the Association of International Educators, serving as a trainer corps; NAFSA Academy lead trainer and regional regulatory representative. David has participated in the Fulbright International Education Administrator Program in South Korea and the State Department-funded Reconnect-Plus Indonesia program He has travelled extensively throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
In addition to working in education, David served for eight years as a flight engineer with the U.S. Navy. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing pedal steel and resophonic guitars, cycling and reading. He and his spouse, Nancy, also enjoy coaching girls volleyball together.
