If you have sufficient insurance coverage through an outside provider and your sponsor does not pay for Mizzou\u2019s student health insurance, you may be <a href=\"#waiver\">eligible for a waiver<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information about UnitedHealthcare student health insurance, to print your ID card or to find a doctor in the area, go to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhcsr.com\/\">UnitedHealthcare Student Resources website<\/a> and search for &#8220;University of Missouri &#8211; Columbia.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2ZxUgffHdxM&amp;t=1s\">This instructional video<\/a> shows the steps to access your digital ID card or request a physical ID card from the website or mobile app. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have questions regarding your coverage, contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/wellbeing.missouri.edu\/insurance\/\">MU Student Health Center<\/a> by calling 573-882-7481 or emailing <a href=\"mailto:umhsin@health.missouri.edu\">umhsin@health.missouri.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"waiver\">Insurance waivers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Waivers of Mizzou\u2019s student health insurance are <strong>automatically requested<\/strong> by our team for students who already have sufficient insurance coverage through their sponsor. If your sponsor provides full-coverage insurance with an outside provider, check your myZou account to ensure that the waiver has been applied. If your waiver has not been applied by the add\/drop deadline, notify our team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the waiver is on your account but you received a Mizzou UnitedHealthcare insurance card, destroy that card \u2014 it is no longer valid. If you received health care services from the Student Health Center or University Hospital or clinics before your insurance waiver was processed, check that these offices are billing the correct insurance provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Using the Student Health Center<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When utilizing the <a href=\"https:\/\/studenthealth.missouri.edu\/\">Student Health Center<\/a>, <b>you must provide a copy of your insurance card<\/b> so that bills for check-in, immunizations and any visits are sent to your insurance company. If the Student Health Center does not have a copy of your card on file, these charges will remain on your student account. If you have supplemental insurance through your sponsoring agency, you must also provide your insurance card in order for the charges to be billed correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a question about a Student Health Center bill, contact their <a href=\"https:\/\/studenthealth.missouri.edu\/health-fee-insurance\/insurance\/\">insurance specialists<\/a>.
