Registration and credit at MU

After you have completed the University of Missouri Assumption of Risk and Release, course proposal for study abroad, conditions of participation and financial commitment to study abroad in your myStudyAbroad application, Mizzou Study Abroad will enroll you in a study abroad placeholder course for the term(s) you will be abroad. In most cases, the grades you earn will be listed as satisfactory/unsatisfactory on your MU transcript and will not be factored into your GPA. You will not earn credit for any courses you fail abroad or that are listed on your host institution transcript as incomplete.

When your program is complete, your official transcript from the credit-issuing institution should be sent to the Mizzou Study Abroad Office, which will forward it to International Admissions for processing. If you decide to take a course abroad that was not preapproved on your course proposal, resubmit your course proposal immediately.
