It has been a huge change from what I am used to in the United States. A major difference that I have noticed right off the bat is the coursework. All of my classes DO NOT have weekly assignments like I had at Mizzou. What is factored into my grade are usually exams and finals, so most of my classes do not require me to turn in anything until the week before spring break or until our summer term! I like this because it allows me to study more and focus on note taking rather than stress over assignments.

Buckingham Palace Gate

Travel-wise, I went around the Lancaster City Centre during my first week here and went to the Lancaster Castle, City Museum and other local landmarks. I use the bus to get from campus to the city, which was about a 15-minute drive (including time for stops). I also went to London a couple of weekends ago. I went with another student from Mizzou and we rode the train there. The train ride was three and a half hours long. London was a beautiful and lovely city. We really enjoyed our time there! We did so many things, some of which include going to Buckingham Palace, seeing Big Ben and the London Eye and many other activities!

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51875907528_ddfcb7da5a_c.jpg" alt="London city buildings lining Big Ben in the background.
