My favorite thing to do there (aside from hiking) was going on walks just so I could notice the little things hidden around the city. There were such nice little parks and ponds to walk to that were always filled with ducks and people walking their dogs or on a run. I started going on a walk every single day and would always try to go in a different direction, so I could find something new.

Park

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52184524131_3f572ceb1a_z.jpg" alt="A green meadow dotted with yellow flowers is bordered by a gravel path. There would be really good drawings on almost any blank surface there was. It wasn’t even art that looked like graffiti, it wasn’t like any other city I’d seen, and I really enjoyed finding new pieces. Some of them would be huge murals while others were just in little hidden places like under a bridge. Bergen was fantastic at showcasing their beautiful city by using street art to compliment the scenery.

Mural near tram stop

Mural

Learn more about this blogger’s study abroad program: University of Bergen

One of the things I learned to appreciate most about Bergen, was how nice and clean the whole city felt.
