I embarked on this adventure with friends from around the world that I had met through the study abroad and exchange program at the University of Technology Sydney. The trip was absolutely stunning, with mountains, fjords, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, and so much more. I also was able to go skydiving for the second time over the snowy mountain ranges, including Mount Cook, which was truly one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Granted, it was a bit colder than I have grown used to, but the views were absolutely worth it. This trip to New Zealand allowed me to grow closer to a group of girls that I would never have met without studying abroad, which was such a special experience. We have since shared many laughs and that, paired with seeing the beauty of New Zealand together, is simply irreplaceable. I look forward to exploring more of Australia with these new friends in the time I have left before heading back home to the University of Missouri in a few weeks.

Learn more about this blogger’s study abroad program: University of Technology Sydney

During the past two weeks, I have had the opportunity to travel from Australia to South Island, New Zealand to explore an entirely different terrain.
