Our exam timetables for the summer term were released today! Mine are pretty well spaced out and I have the majority of the term to prepare after the Easter break \u2014 such is the structure of the trimester system here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just like the education system in America, there is a lot of emphasis on exam time. Depending on the professor, you may have three grades in a semester or you may have 20. Here at Lancaster, the structure reflects the former of having about three grades per module and then an exam. I do have a few more papers due either before or after the Easter break though. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another big difference is that during the summer term, I only have one class that continues through most of May. Most people don\u2019t have any because the summer term is to focus on preparing for exams. I have roughly one exam each week for six weeks. Alternatively, at Mizzou, I have classes up until the week of exams and we have a reading [day] rather than a month with the sole focus of revision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Having our dates announced seems like a time marker. I honestly can\u2019t believe I\u2019m already halfway through my study abroad term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
