It’s been a fun two months. I’ve gone to more karaoke rooms than I can count and somehow, I’m surprised when I wake up with a sore throat. I’ve visited my friend’s university and learned about her school’s traditions of hanging up wishes leading up to Buddha’s birthday. I’ve gone to Hongdae a few times too many and will continue to go back if I’m being honest. A top 10 moment is getting to see the friends I made last semester who visited MU as exchange students themselves. It’s been interesting having the roles reversed but in a good way. I’ve also thankfully made some pretty great friends in the past two months.

My friends and I.

The end of March and beginning of April ushered in spring with beautiful cherry blossoms. They lined the streets and thankfully caused no allergies for me. Springtime is often a time when I’m thinking about my future goals and more specifically stressing about my future. But this time has been a bit different. I’ve come to really enjoy being in Seoul and its made me realize that I would love a career that allows me to travel. So naturally, I’ve started to think of ways I can end up in Seoul again in the future and while I still don’t have a concrete plan, I’m sure I’ll be back here to visit at some point. My only plan right now is to visit more places around Seoul and around South Korea. I plan to go back home with no regrets. In my book, that means having as many experiences here as I can. So here’s to the last two months in Seoul, and a pretty nice springtime.

Cherry Blossoms near my favorite pork belly place.

Learn more about this blogger’s study abroad program: Korea University

As of about a week ago, it’s officially been two months since I arrived in Seoul.
