I created a bucket list of things to do because I don’t know when I will be here again and for this amount of time. With the help of my mom we created a list of things that I would be able to do, and the anticipation was building. Of course, I had to see Big Ben and Buckingham Palace but there is a lot of hidden gems within London that many tourists don’t see. For example, Portobello Road and Camden Market, which house some of the best shopping available.

Big Ben and I.

The courtyard.

The Supreme Court building.

A beautiful opera house.

Looking at what London has to offer, I realized that I could stay here forever and never get bored. However, there was one small problem, who was I going to travel with? This was solved by talking with new people. I am taking two classes and decided to talk with these two girls during lunch, and we’ve been together ever since. I was worried about making new friends as I was traveling by myself and didn’t want to waste away my time. But going out of my way to meet new people has created me opportunities to make new friends and see all of London. I’ve only been here a few days, but we’ve already planned a whole list of things we can do together, including a trip to Paris! I have seen so much of the city within the three days of being here and I am so excited to see what awaits in London.

Learn more about this blogger’s study abroad program: Regents University London

Before coming on this program, I planned out what I wanted to see and do.
