Freiburg is a little different from how other cities are, when developing new areas nature is taken into consideration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2rGzc8f\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54936747704_891fae33af.jpg\" alt=\"Freiburg_map\" width=\"500\" height=\"385\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Map of Freiburg (source: wiki commons)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Which is evident when looking at a map of Freiburg from above. Anywhere in the city is less than a combined 30 minute tram ride and walk from the woods\/mountains. I have had a lot of fun just going hiking after class and getting the opportunity to see local vegetation, which I really appreciate as a Plant Sciences student. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2rGztZs\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/54936804440_356f5ea256_z.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7312\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Pink Hydrangea<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a great way to get outdoors and some \u201clight\u201d exercise.
