I went to a job site (nursing home) every morning for four hours. It was such a special experience to get to know and build relationships with the residents. We had the afternoon to ourselves each day to explore the city and hang out with each other. This was a super great time to explore more parts of the beautiful city and get to know the other students on the trip, which I found super fun. I enjoyed trying new Peruvian foods and exploring markets and shops around town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-photo is-provider-flickr wp-block-embed-flickr\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/flic.kr\/p\/2rSGVvk\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55051421017_d00dd9c10b_z.jpg\" alt=\"Colorful Peruvian market\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Colorful Peruvian market<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We also did weekend trips to areas around Cusco, which included going to Machu Picchu, which was beautiful! We did the hike up Wayna Picchu. This provided an immaculate view of Machu Picchu and the surrounding mountains, but the hike was quite difficult!
