Susan left the "Windy City" of Chicago and now resides in the "Show-Me State" of Missouri after living in Miami, FL; Montreal, Quebec; Barrington and Glenview, IL; and Webster Groves, MO. As a life-long educator, she is excited seeing students reach those "ah-ha" moments in learning new skills. As a life-long learner, she is delighted in acquiring new techniques in the garden, kitchen and classroom. She and her family have traveled to various U.S. states, Mexico, the Caribbean islands, Turkey and Europe. She has a bachelor's degree from Elmhurst College (now Elmhurst University), master's degree from Western Illinois University and ESL endorsement from National Louis University. After teaching English language learners at the High School Newcomers Center of Columbia Public Schools, she retired in 2019 and joined the Asian Affairs Center.
