Thomas G. Nordberg, Ph.D., received his formal education at Elmhurst University (B.A., suburban Chicago), Eden Theological Seminary (M.Div., suburban St. Louis) and McGill University (Ph.D., Montreal, Canada), where he served on its faculty for 10 years teaching history and ethics, among other subjects. His 40-year career embraced organizational leadership and extensive public speaking in many locations, including St. Louis, Montreal, Chicago, Miami, Cincinnati, Salt Lake City, Louisville and the campus of Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. He has offered leadership within institutional governance in hospital network administration, health and human services, family counseling and medical ethics. Dr. Nordberg joined the teaching staff of MU's Asian Affair Center in October 2018 and has offered English language instruction in the fields of international business, institutional ethics, news and culture, the history of western art, U.S. history, public speaking and courses on more regional subjects. In 2024, Tom enjoyed an extensive tour of South Korea sponsored by the Asian Affairs Center.
