MU majors and minors

  • International studies (East Asian studies): An individually designed major with a strong multicultural and global focus. The emphasis in East Asian studies focuses on creating an understanding and awareness of the culture, history, politics, geography and languages of the East Asian countries, with an emphasis in China, Japan or Korea.
  • International studies (South Asian studies): An individually designed major with a strong multicultural and global focus. The South Asian studies emphasis offers courses in history, politics, philosophy, religion, culture, social life and languages of India.
  • Chinese studies: Study Chinese language and culture through a variety of courses and activities at MU and in China.
  • Japanese studies: Study Japanese language and culture through a variety of courses and activities at MU and in Japan.
  • Korean studies: Study Korean language and culture through a variety of courses and activities at MU and in Korea.
