The University of Missouri expects international students to know English well enough to:
- Comprehend academic lectures.
- Participate in discussions.
- Read textbooks and other academic materials.
- Write effectively.
To meet Mizzou’s English language requirements for admissions purposes, international students must submit a qualifying English language exam score.
All international undergraduate students are also required to take the English Language Exam after arriving on campus. Based on the results of the exam, students may be required to enroll in one or more English Language Support Program courses.
