Diane Suhler

Diane Suhler recently retired from Columbia College where she taught finance and economics classes to undergraduate and graduate students for over 21 years. Fall 2021 was her first session teaching in the MU Global Leadership Program in the Asian Affairs Center. In addition to teaching, she is engaged in a number of community/civic activities and holds positions on several City of Columbia boards and commissions. Diane has a long-standing interest in international relations and economic development. She has traveled to Central Asia and Africa on seven different occasions to provide financial and business training. She holds a Ph.D. in finance/economics from the University of Maryland, a master's degree in international affairs from Columbia University in New York City and a bachelor's degree in secondary education from the University of Colorado.
