Kim grew up in Missouri and has a degree in mathematics and chemistry from Drury University. Her early career was in environmental consulting. She then raised her family in Thailand and Oman from 2009–2022. During that time, she worked to support sustainability in schools, and trained as a facilitator and coach for expats with a particular interest in raising kids outside their passport country. Outside of work, Kim enjoys photography, reading, sewing, flute and piano, and most anything flavored with mint-chocolate.
