Hardest parts of living abroad

So, I have finally hit my six-month mark of being abroad. And for the first time in a while, this country is starting to feel like home. The journey to this point has had its challenges and every day there is a new one that always comes up. Like not having enough change or saying the wrong lingo in a restaurant that may come off as offensive to a Brit. Every day I am always on my toes learning something new and trying something challenging. But the greatest part of this experience thus far has been the friends that I have made. This week has been a crazy one for the UK, it’s been like in the 60s all week and loads of sunshine. Walking through campus, students laying out on the grass in the courtyard and sitting chatting with mates at the outdoor bar. It’s as if there is a new life to the city that I haven’t seen thus far. Strangers chat with each other and everyone is happy. It is so cool to be a part of campus and city that is so friendly and warm to each other. I would not trade this experience for the world. If you are looking to study abroad, Manchester is the place to be. It is by far the best city in England!

The locks on the bridges in Manchester! Such a cool European tradition that started in Paris.

Two of the most amazing friends I have made.
