Experiencing a new world

When I first had the opportunity to travel to Spain, I was excited. With COVID playing a factor, I was careful not to get my hopes too high as life was very uncertain. However, the closer I got to July, the more it seemed like it was really happening. Before I knew it, I was on a plane to Spain. I was off, leaving the United States for the first time.

I was not sure what to expect during my month in Spain, but I can now say that it was an adventure of a lifetime. I flew out of Miami, and between there and waiting to board my train from Madrid to Oviedo, I heard more Spanish than I had my entire life. It was everywhere. I was officially in a different world. A new world that taught me so much. Life in Spain was unreal. The beaches were beautiful, the mountains majestic. The beaches and mountains being in the same place, creating a beautiful sight that is hard to imagine as true. I swear there are no bad sights in Spain.

The food was fresh and fantastic. I had some of the most amazing experiences of my life. I experienced so many things for the first time: a new culture, a new diet, new people, a new life. Ever since I came back, it has been hard to remember that I really got to experience the life I had in Spain. I was on top of the world.
