Family visits!

My mom had the opportunity to visit me in Barcelona last week. We had the best time! I was surprised at how stressed I got to host my mom for a week, but it can be daunting to show someone around a city where you are also new. We tried lots of good food, and I took her to some of my favorite spots I eat at frequently. We enjoyed different tapas, pizzas, paellas and desserts.

I took her to see Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila, Casa Batillo and Park Guell. She enjoyed everything the city had to offer. We did a little too much shopping around my school, and we got a lot of fun things. Her favorite areas were Barceloneta by the beach and the Gothic Quarter. I have been missing her and home a bit lately, so I am so happy she came to Barcelona. It is also cool that she now can picture everywhere I tell her about when we talk. It was a great week!
