Bergen beauty

I have been living in Bergen, Norway, for about three months now, and it has been really great. I have been able to make friends with lots of international students from many different countries. The majority of them have actually turned out to be from Germany, including my roommates.

Spending time in Bergen usually consists of hiking and enjoying the beauty of the nature here. I have taken a few trips to towns in northern Norway where we saw the Northern Lights, and even to Barcelona, Spain. I’ve faced challenges like getting a Norwegian phone plan and communicating with people who don’t speak much English. I’ve learned to really embrace the difficulties, though, because that’s what makes my time here unique.

My study abroad semester is about halfway over, and I already have made many memories that I will cherish and continue creating as I explore more of Europe.
