Brussels, Belgium, weekend trip!

I am studying abroad in Galway, Ireland, but we had a free weekend to travel. I went to Brussels, Belgium! I had about 40 hours there total, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. The city is very diverse, and almost everyone is bilingual; speaking English and French. It was very sunny and warm, which was refreshing compared to Ireland where it is always cold, rainy and windy. I had a realization in Brussels — that I truly love traveling and meeting new people who are so different from me. I learned that I am capable of much more than I think, and my identity abroad is developing. Everyone was very kind and the city felt as if I belonged there. I hope to return to Belgium in my future.
