Spring break

This month, I got to experience spring break in Europe. They actually have a 2-week spring break, so my friends and I got to travel around and visit Switzerland and Italy! Our flight to Geneva, Switzerland was $40, and our train ride from Geneva to Italy was $80! It has been an incredible experience to be able to travel at a low cost, and there are always cheap hotels/Airbnbs as well. Our plane ride back to Spain was $60, and so overall travel we spent less than $200 to see two countries that I’ve always dreamed of visiting.

In Geneva, we rented a pedal boat for $5 each. We got to be in Lake Geneva and see the top of snowy mountains at the same time. We also did a free walking tour (although we tipped $5 each) to learn more about the history of the city, and we also got to see landmarks around the town at the same time. Geneva was one of my favorite cities that I’ve ever seen, and after a few days, we traveled to Lake Como in Italy. We stayed at the top of a mountain, and also learned to play a new card game “Scala Quaranta.” It was an incredible few days in Italy, and I know I want to go back in the future. It’s the best spring break I’ve ever had, and I’m really lucky to have been able to travel around and enjoy Europe for 2 weeks.
