Pâques en France

I decided to stay in Nantes, France for this Easter weekend. I had asked my host family about two months ago if I could join them for Easter weekend and they happily obliged. To thank them, I ending making a gâteau nantais for the day of celebration (a traditional recipe of the region). I also joined them for the candlelight vigil at their church the night before as well as the conversation on Easter morning. There ended up being a total of 20 people in the house that day! My seven host siblings, parents and a slew of other characters ranging from great aunt to cousin. The conversation with all the adults was definitely difficult to follow at times because so many people were speaking over each other but I eventually got the hang of it and even chimed in a few times. I think I can confidently say that this was a successful Easter weekend!
