End of semester one!

So much has happened since I’ve come to Korea! It’s now the end of the semester, and I can’t believe I’m already halfway done with my study abroad experience. And many things have happened in Korea as well, which is so strange to think that I’m witnessing history as it happens. I experienced the first snow of the year in Korea! It was a record high for the amount of snowfall we experienced, and it made getting anywhere very difficult because the roads were so slippery. The bus I take to get back to my dorm wasn’t running, and because of that I had to walk an hour and a half back to my dorm.
And in Korea, there is so much happening politically. The Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law, so there was a lot of protest happening because of that. It was the first time that martial law had been declared in over 40 years, and people were very upset over it. And literally within the same month, he was impeached! And the acting president who came after him was also impeached. All within the same month! So much has happened since the semester has ended, that it’s crazy that I’m here actually witnessing it all happen. Still, with the end of the semester, it has left me with a lot of spare time on my hands, so I look forward to where life takes me next.
