Hasta pronto Alicante

I only had a short time in Spain this month, as I had to return to Missouri for graduation. I spent my last two weeks soaking in every moment with my friends and host family. I want to sign my Mizzou blog off with a letter to Alicante, where half my heart still lies.
Alicante,
Before I had to depart, I was asked if I had lots I did not get to do while I was living in your beautiful landscape, and I am so blessed to say that I did everything I wanted to do and more, and do not regret anything. I just want to say thank you. Thank you to your people who walked beside me, caring for me during hard days and laughing with me on the best days. Your people helped me learn not only your language but also how to be more confident in myself. Your people took me in as their own, and that kindness will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your beauty, from your sunrises and sunsets to palm trees to the beautiful sandy beach. It was so fun having a place where my friends and I could hang out, meet new people and just soak in the Mediterranean breeze. Thank you for being the place that accepted me for me and allowed me to be a part of and love your community. The community that saw me grow not only as a student but as the woman I am now. Because I am the same old me, but the months spent with you changed me forever. Thank you for being something I will love for the rest of my life and for making my biggest dream of studying abroad become my favorite memory. My heart is so full. Te quiero mucho, Alicante. Hasta pronto.
