My May in Denmark

I have only been in Denmark for 12 days, and I have countless new memories to share. There are not enough words to describe this amazing experience in one of the safest cities in the world. During my time in class I have learned about so many interesting topics, and it has been super special to learn the differences between healthcare in the United States and Denmark. It was quite easy to integrate into a new educational system due to the many resources available to support students during this journey. Not only have I been able to enjoy my schoolwork, but I have made countless friends along the way that I am eternally grateful for making this experience so special.

Clinical day in class.

Every day has looked a little different whether its filled with class, shopping, partaking in an activity in the city or relaxing by the harbor. Personally, I enjoy taking a walk along Nyhavn or shopping along Stroget street because every turn you can find a new beautiful piece of architecture that is somehow even more extravagant than the last. There are so many bucket list items that every student needs to experience, which is perfect because Copenhagen is known for having super long days where you are able to check off many of these items, including a cold plunge in the harbor. Trust me, it is completely worth it.

A MUST to get a Danish hotdog.

Besides the amazing walks around the city, one of the best locations to truly experience the Danish lifestyle is Reffen. Here you can find amazing street food vendors and drinks, or just relax along the water with hundreds of other people and observe while soaking up the sun. I have already been blessed with so many new experiences, and I can not wait to see what will come in the next 10 days.
